Purchase a Deer Management Assistance Program (DMAP) Permit

Landowners wanting to control deer population on their land can apply for the Deer Management Assistance Program (DMAP) by submitting an application to the Pennsylvania Game Commission (PGC). Qualifying landowners will have DMAP Units (Units) created for their land with a specific number of permits for that land determined by a wildlife biologist.

Participating landowners have the option to choose public (no coupon) or private (coupon) DMAP Unit permits once during PGC approval process. Whether a public or private Unit, all DMAP Unit permits must be purchased at issuing Agent locations or through Hunt Fish PA. “Private” DMAP Units require additional details from landowners to be printed on “coupons” for these privileges. For more details, refer to the PGC website.

Hunters must purchase, or have in their shopping cart, a general hunting license to apply for these permits. DMAP Units will allow two or four permits to each hunter, as determined by the wildlife biologist. Hunters can continue to purchase more permits from other Units until those limits are exhausted.

All Pennsylvania hunting laws and regulations must be followed by hunters using these permits.
